WORKING TO RESTORE BEIRUT WITH THE ENERGY THAT DRIVES IT

is a charitable initiative founded by a group of creatives ⦿ in the wake of the 2020 Beirut blast . All funds raised support local NGOs working to meet humanitarian relief among vulnerable populations impacted by the explosion.

CHAPTER 1

Marketplace

Opened: 2nd October 2020 / Closed: 14 February 2021

Funds raised: $170,000

Our first project took the form of an online marketplace offering a curated selection of art and design objects — photography, painting, sculpture, jewellery, publications, apparel, ceramics — generously donated by emerging as well as established artists from across the creative industries to help the Lebanese people rebuild Beirut.

Beirut Re–Store also teamed up with non-profit organisation Creatives For Lebanon to launch a collection of bespoke limited edition pieces and commissions from an international line-up of fashion brands and designers who were asked to create or customise something in honour of Lebanon.

Together we raised $170,000 to benefit the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Beirut, through the Beirut Emergency Fund 2020, a coalition comprised of Lebanese diaspora organisations LIFE, SEAL, LebNet, Jamhour Alumni (US/Europe) and Kuwait-America Foundation.
